On our journey to stop at all 88 Ohio county’s Bicentennial Barns, we quickly snapped this picture of Jackson County’s before the farm’s guard dogs caught up to us. This Bicentennial Barn was built to house horses, cattle, and hay.
Jackson County is named for Major General Andrew Jackson, the 7th U.S. President. The County was a major miner of Iron in the 19th century, as well as salt, and over a million tons of coal in the year 1888 alone.
