This Bicentennial Barn stands as a welcome to all visitors of the @hockinghillsmarket while driving north along State Route 33 into Rockbridge.
It is unique in that it is the 2nd Bicentennial Barn painted in the county after the first one was torn down to make way for a new gas station. In 2004, the people of Hocking county were rightfully disappointed and had a new barn painted to carry on their county’s part in celebrating Ohio pride and the Bicentennial.
The county name originates from the Hocking River, which means “bottled river” in the Delaware tribe’s Lenape language.
The county’s dispensary can be found 5 minutes southeast in Logan @columbiacarelogan .
